My calling came in 2016 when, having seen the unfortunate plight of the people living in far flung villages, I decided to quit a promising corporate career and come out of my comfort zone to contribute my bit in combating food insecurity and malnutrition. I founded Millet Bowl and launched the project INSPIRE (Initiative for Nutritional Security Provision & Initiative for Rural Employment). In 3 years we have served #150 tons of Millet Cookies at zero margin to #100,000 underprivileged children studying in Telangana State Residential schools, created #20 rural employment opportunities and assured livelihood to #50 small and marginal farmers.
With a mission to reach out to larger sections of the society we are now launching India’s first ever ready-to-drink Multi Millet protein shake which is tasty, convenient and affordable.
Pankaj is a food technologist by education and has earned his B.Tech, M.Tech and MBA before beginning his corporate career. He carries over 20+ years of deep experience in sales, marketing, research & development. He has been associated with Pristine Organics, DSM, Piramal Healthcare, Hexagon Nutrition, Haldiram Foods in various roles.
